Debora Coombs is English, but has her home and studio in Vermont where she produces some of the most sought-after contemporary work of our time and teaches small studio classes.

In 2009 I was able to assist Debora Coombs in her Artist in Residency at the Riverside Elementary School in Elmira, New York. Over 70 first grade students painted on glass and created a huge new window for permanent installation in the school. (see photo)

In addition to my studies under Debora Coombs I have had the privilege of receiving several scholarships to study under two other gifted glass painters. See their websites:

Kathy Jordan

J. Kenneth Leap

Hilton and Vicki Byrd are amazing artists in bronze. They have a way of making metal completely fluid and figurative. The owners of Designer Crafts, they supported many craftsfolk and artists for years--including me.

A new center for the arts in this part of the world, Totts Gap offers classes in the performing and visual arts, some common and some not-so-common.
