Luna was built June 2006. It is the first in a series of three panels celestially themed windows intended as a statement about the spiritual energy and power of women. Luna is inspired by the work of turn of the century artist, Alphonse Mucha.
Luna represents the crescent moon. She appears to look down on earth with a gentle contemplative expression. Luna is both feminine and powerful. The moon
exerts a powerful pull on our planet and all its inhabitants and represents the cycles and rhythms of nature. The moon is a universally recognized symbol of change.
This panel is intended as a statement about the feminine power to embrace the cycles of life, find harmony with nature and exert gentle yet powerful change in the world.
